Work in the Community

We pride ourselves in our community work.

Community and social wellbeing is very much at the heart of The Source. During the last decade we have created a social return on investment of £53.4 million through work delivering training and apprenticeships to over 4,200 learners across the Sheffield City Region.

Here are some of the things we do across the region:

Our work in the Sheffield City Region

We work across the Sheffield City Region (SCR) delivering projects, support and fundraising projects.

Vocational Training for Young Adults

The Source work with different partners including The Prince’s Trust, Remploy and British Land to deliver a variety of vocational and employability training.

Our work with Schools

Sheffield Showcase

The Sheffield Showcase project is a visual merchandising scheme run by The Source in conjunction with Sheffield City Council.

The Makers Emporium

No.26 Makers Emporium is an exciting retail space showcasing handmade products by local crafters, designers and artists, and it is run day to day by apprentices.

Autism Support

The Autism Centre runs from our Surrey Place office, giving full specialised support on all work experience placements for as long as needed.
